What We Believe

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose again in His body on the third day. He ascended into heaven, and He will come again visibly and in glory on the last day to be our judge.

Salvation of Man

A person is saved (justified) entirely by God’s grace, through faith, which is created by the Holy Spirit.

God

There is one God in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Means of Grace

Through the means of God’s Word and the Sacraments the Holy Spirit creates saving faith. So that we might have faith, God established the Office of the Holy Ministry. The Sacraments of Holy Baptism, Absolution, and the Lord’s Supper are from God and grant the forgiveness of sins.

Man

Every person is conceived and born in sin (original sin), and as a sinner deserves death and eternal judgment.

Bible

The Bible is the true, inspired, inerrant Word of God.

Does everyone really need Jesus Christ as their Savior? YES!

The Bible tells us that not even one person is sinless. So, everyone needs Jesus who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and the only way we are saved.

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”-John 14:6

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”-Acts 4:12
